Philipp Dominik Schubert is an IT-security researcher, static and dynamic program analysis expert, and the creator and chief maintainer of the PhASAR (https://phasar.org/) program analysis framework. He is a research assistant at the Fraunhofer Institute for Mechatronic Systems Design (IEM) and the Secure Software Engineering research group led by Prof. Dr. Eric Bodden at Paderborn University’s Heinz Nixdorf Institute. Philipp is also a member of the Collaborative Research Centre (CRC) 901 “On-The-Fly” Computing which is funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). He received his master’s degree in Bioinformatics and Genome Research at Bielefeld University in 2016. His research interests include static and dynamic program analysis, programming languages, compilers, high-performance computing. He also shares great interest in high-quality academic teaching. In 2018, Philipp held a full-day tutorial on the PhASAR static analysis framework at the PLDI conference in Philadelphia. He also published several publications on program analysis on high-ranking scientific conferences. He helped to organize and prepare a multitude of university courses on software engineering, systems programming/operating systems, and program analysis. For several years now, Philipp has been teaching a full-term course on C/C++ programming.
Patrick Schubert is employed as Cloud Architect and Change Agent at Atos Information Technology GmbH. After completing a school education as a state-certified information technology assistant, he completed a dual study program in Business Information Technology (B.Sc.) from 2016 to 2019 in conjunction with an apprenticeship as an IT specialist for application development and certification as a specialist consultant for software technology at Atos in cooperation with Siemens Professional Education and the University of Applied Sciences South Westphalia. As a Google certified Cloud Expert, Mr. Schubert supports customers transforming their IT landscape and adopting Cloud Computing. In addition to consulting and conception of Cloud architectures, Mr. Schubert is also active in Cloud-native development and adaptation of Cloud-specific paradigms and agile methodology in the context of global corporations.
